Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and simmer, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  3. Use hot or cold as desired.
