Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • water
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 1 whole lime

Instructions

  1. Mix all-purpose flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl, adding enough water to create a thick batter.
  2. Grate the peel of the lemon and lime and add to the batter. Squeeze the juice from both and mix well.
  3. Coat pieces of fish in the flour mixture, then dip them into the batter.
  4. Fry the coated fish in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through. To check if the oil is hot enough, insert a match; if it lights, the oil is ready.
