Cheese Puff Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. Bisquick baking mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 3/4 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°.
  2. In a 2-quart saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add the Bisquick and stir vigorously over medium heat until the mixture leaves the side of the pan, forming a ball. Cool 5 minutes.
  4. Beat one egg at
  5. a time into the mixture, beating thoroughly.
  6. Add garlic salt and cheese.
  7. Drop by a spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes, then 350° for 15 minutes.
  9. (Should be golden brown.)
  10. Serve hot.
  11. Makes four servings.
