Cherry Cheese Coffeecake

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. crescent rolls
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/3 c. powdered sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together the cream cheese, egg yolk, powdered sugar, salt and vanilla.
  2. In a large circle, place crescents with the points toward the center and slightly overlapping.
  3. Crimp the outside edge to keep the filling in.
  4. Place cream cheese mixture in a circle in the middle of crescents.
  5. Put pie filling over cream cheese mixture.
  6. Pull inside of crescents to the outside. Bake 22 minutes at 350° to 375°.
  7. Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting.
  8. (I warm about 1/2 cup ready to spread frosting in the microwave and drizzle over cake.)
