Cherry Nougat Bites

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup powdered milk
  • 2/3 cup glace cherries, chopped
  • icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine condensed milk, vanilla essence and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir in powdered milk and cherries with a wooden spoon until combined.
  3. Turn mixture onto surface lightly dusted with icing sugar.
  4. Knead until smooth.
  5. Divide mixture in half.
  6. Roll each half between your palms into a rope 2.
  7. 5cm thick.
  8. Dust with extra icing sugar.
  9. Refrigerate until firm.
  10. When firm cut into 2.
  11. 5cm pieces.
  12. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
