Ingredients

  • 1 lb cherry rhubarb, cut in 1-inch slices
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups water

Instructions

  1. Place rhubarb in a large saucepan.
  2. Pour sugar over and let stand for 1 hour.
  3. Add water to the mixture in the saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil slowly, uncovered.
  5. Cook 1 to 5 minutes until rhubarb is soft.
  6. Cool the sauce.
  7. Cover and refrigerate several hours before serving.
