Chestnut-Bacon Appetizers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 large can or 2 (8 oz.) cans whole water chestnuts
  • 1 c. chili sauce
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the last 3 ingredients.
  2. Cut bacon down the center and wrap strips around water chestnuts.
  3. Insert toothpicks to hold.
  4. Place on cookie sheet; bake for 30 minutes at 350°.
  5. This cooks the grease out of the bacon.
  6. Remove from cookie sheet and place in baking dish.
  7. Pour sauce over chestnuts and bake at 350° for approximately 1/2 hour.
