Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chopped meat
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 1/2 oz.) can sweet peas
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • dash of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, saute onion.
  2. Add tomato sauce and peas with juice, salt, pepper, oregano and garlic powder.
  3. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pan-fry potatoes.
  5. When done, drain.
  6. In a 1 quart pan, press uncooked chopped meat to about 1-inch thick.
  7. Add potatoes.
  8. Cover with tomato sauce mixture.
  9. Bake at 400° for about 45 minutes or until meat is done.
  10. Serve hot with favorite salad.
