Chicken Fried Hamburger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. melted shortening
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Shape hamburger into patties; chill.
  2. Place milk and flour in a flat dish.
  3. Place each patty in milk; turn over, then dip in flour.
  4. Place patties in hot skillet with melted shortening. Season.
  5. Cook on each side until crispy, flattening as they cool.
