- Pour olive oil into heavy frying pan.
- Crush chili pequins and add to oil along with garlic powder; mix well with oil.
- Add nuts and toast over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Mix seasonings and nuts together thoroughly.
- When nuts are toasted, sprinkle with chili powder; stir so chili powder is well mixed with nuts.
- Pour into serving bowl.
- Makes about 2 cups.
