Chili Cashews

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 10 chili pequins
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 (12 oz.) can salted cashews, peanuts or mixed nuts
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder

Instructions

  1. Pour olive oil into heavy frying pan.
  2. Crush chili pequins and add to oil along with garlic powder; mix well with oil.
  3. Add nuts and toast over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Mix seasonings and nuts together thoroughly.
  5. When nuts are toasted, sprinkle with chili powder; stir so chili powder is well mixed with nuts.
  6. Pour into serving bowl.
  7. Makes about 2 cups.
