Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Heat sugar, corn syrup, and water over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Simmer gently to soft ball stage (242°F).
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Melt the chocolate and add with butter to the syrup; mix well.
  5. Pour over lightly salted, popped popcorn, stirring to coat all kernels.
  6. Spread out on a greased pan to cool and separate the kernels.
