Chocolate Mint Swirl

Ingredients

  • sugar
  • heavy cream
  • chocolate
  • mascarpone cheese
  • creme

Instructions

  1. Whisk the cream in a large bowl until standing in peaks.
  2. Fold in the marscapone and sugar, then put 1/3 of mixture into a smaller bowl.
  3. Stir the creme de menthe into the small bowl.
  4. Stir the melted chocolate into the large bowl.
  5. In serving glasses, place alternate spoonfuls of the creme de menthe and chocolate mixtures.
  6. Swirl to give a decorative effect.
  7. Chill until ready to serve.
  8. To make piped chocolate garnish, melt a small amount of chocolate and place in a paper pastry bag.
  9. Pipe squiggles and shapes onto a piece of baking parchment.
  10. Let the chocolate set, then carefully remove from the parchment.
  11. Place the piped garnish upright in each dessert and serve.
