Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. potatoes, roughly chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb. turnips, roughly chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 oz. butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the potatoes and turnips in boiling water until tender, then drain well.
  2. Mash together until smooth. Beat in the butter and snipped chives. Season to taste.
  3. Serve hot.
