- Grease and flour one large or 2 small loaf pans. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar. Beat in vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour and salt and add all at once. Beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake about 90 minutes at 350°.
