Cocoa Caramels

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 3/4 cup cocoa

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a med size pot.
  2. Boil on low fire until mixture reaches hard ball stage.
  3. Pour in a buttered pan 9x9 or 9x13.
  4. When candy is cool cut in 1 inch squares.
  5. Be careful that they don't stick together.
  6. Wrap each piece in wax paper for individual candies Keeps well in the refrigerator.
