Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large carton Cool Whip
  • 2 cups sour cream

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, Cool Whip, sour cream, and coconut in a bowl.
  2. Cover and let sit overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. On the second day, mix and bake the yellow cake according to the package directions.
  4. Bake the cake in greased and floured 9-inch round pans (2 or 3).
  5. Let the cakes cool completely.
  6. Spread the coconut mixture generously between the layers and over the top and sides of the cake.
  7. Refrigerate the assembled cake before serving.
  8. Enjoy within one week.
