Tips & Substitutions

For a thicker shake, use less milk or add more ice cream. If you want to reduce calories, consider using low-fat cream cheese or almond milk instead of regular milk. Fresh squeezed orange juice can also enhance the flavor, so don’t hesitate to use that if you have extra oranges. This shake pairs well with Chocolate Chipper Cookies for a delightful dessert combination.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this creamy shake in chilled glasses for a refreshing treat. Garnish with a slice of orange or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch. It’s perfect for summer gatherings or as a dessert alongside Ma'S Pumpkin Pie. Consider pairing it with savory snacks for a balanced menu.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover creamy shake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When reheating, blend again with a little ice to restore its creamy texture, as it may separate. Avoid freezing, as it can alter the texture and make it grainy once thawed.

Absolutely! While vanilla is classic, you can experiment with other flavors like chocolate or orange sherbet for a unique twist. Just keep in mind that different flavors may change the overall taste of the shake.

Is it possible to make this shake dairy-free?

Yes, you can make a dairy-free version using coconut cream instead of cream cheese and almond or oat milk in place of regular milk. Use dairy-free ice cream to keep the shake creamy and delicious without dairy.

How can I make this shake more nutritious?

To boost the nutritional value, consider adding a scoop of protein powder or a handful of spinach to the blender. You can also use Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese for added protein while still maintaining creaminess.
