Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1/4 c. ice water

Instructions

  1. Combine sifted flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in Crisco with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture is fairly coarse and uniform.
  3. Sprinkle with ice water a tablespoon at a time; toss lightly with a fork after each addition until all water is incorporated.
  4. Work the dough into a firm ball.
  5. Divide the dough into two parts and roll each to fit the pie pan.
  6. Bake according to the pie recipe.
