Ingredients

  • 7 lb. cucumbers
  • 5 lb. granulated sugar
  • 10 cents worth of cinnamon sticks, cut up fine
  • 1 clove

Instructions

  1. Wash the cucumbers and cover them in a strong brine capable of holding up an egg for 3 weeks. Let them soak.
  2. Take the cucumbers out of the brine and let them sit in warm water for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Wash the cucumbers again and cover them with vinegar. Let them sit for 10 days.
