Ingredients

  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 box dates, chopped
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients.
  2. Cook until mixture forms a ball in cold water.
  3. Remove from stove.
  4. Add coconut and nuts.
  5. Beat until stiff.
  6. Roll in damp cloth.
  7. Allow to harden and slice in 1/4-inch rounds.
