Ingredients

  • 2 c. pitted dates, cut up
  • 2/3 ___ sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring often until thickened, about 15 minutes.
  3. Cool.
