Diner Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. rice
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Rinse medium saucepan with cold water.
  2. Add milk and bring to a boil (medium heat).
  3. Stir in rice and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until tender (55 minutes).
  5. Combine sugar, cream, eggs, vanilla and salt.
  6. Stir in this mixture and stir good; heat to boil.
  7. Cover with cinnamon and raisins.
