Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. white Karo syrup
  • 6 Tbsp. water
  • 2 egg whites
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Boil sugar, Karo syrup, and water until it spins a thread.
  2. Beat egg whites and a dash of salt until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the boiled mixture and vanilla extract to the egg whites, beating until well combined and glossy.
  4. Frost the cooled cake with the whipped divinity frosting.
  5. Garnish with nuts, if desired.
