Dumplings(Norwegian)
Ingredients
Instructions
- Mix potatoes and eggs with enough flour to hold together large dumplings.
- Drop in boiling salted water.
- Cook until done, about 30 to 40 minutes.
- Cut up several slices of bacon into small squares.
- Add a large onion (diced) and fry until onion is tender. Thoroughly coat dumplings in this mixture and fry lightly until brown.
- I use some butter to fry onions in until transparent.
- Pour over the dumplings; this is good.
- I don't use bacon grease.
- Pour that off.
