- In a double boiler over pan over medium heat, brown the sugar until golden brown; do not burn.
- Once golden brown and liquid, remove from heat and coat pan all around.
- Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Blend the rest of the ingredients in blender and pour into sugar coated pan.
- Set oven temperature at 375°.
- Place double boiler pan in oven.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Insert knife; if clean the flan is cooked.
- Cool.
- Then turn the flan over into a deep dish and refrigerate.
