Instructions
- Melt butter in 8 x 8 x 2-inch cake pan.
- Sift together the sugar, flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add milk and stir to blend. Add butter, leaving a coating in the pan.
- Stir together and pour back into pan.
- Add fruit to top of batter, but do not stir.
- Bake at 375° for about 40 minutes until pudding rises to top and browns as a crust.
