Ingredients

  • 1 lemon Juice of
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 2 tart apples larges, chopped, peeled and cored
  • 1/2 cup dried figs chopped
  • 1 stick cinnamon broken into pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg Freshly
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bring juice of lemon and apple juice to boil in saucepan.
  2. Add apples, dried figs, and honey.
  3. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg and simmer uncovered until thick.
  4. Add vanilla and stir.
  5. Serve warm.
