Ingredients

  • 14 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons coarse salt
  • 12 teaspoon finely chopped hot fresh chili pepper, such as habenero
  • 4 cups fresh pineapple chunks

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, salt, and chile, pressing with the back of a spoon until mixed.
  2. Stir in the pineapple and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 1 day.
