Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 1/8-inch slice butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Skin the onion and slice from the top until almost through the bottom.
  3. Ensure slices are approximately 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Place a 1/8-inch slice of butter between each onion slice.
  5. Wrap each prepared onion in aluminum foil and twist the top closed.
  6. Place in a baking pan and bake for approximately 1 hour or until the onion is soft when lightly squeezed.
