Freezing Celery

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch celery
  • water

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim and cut stalks to 1 inch long.
  2. Lay in a single layer of chopped pieces on cookie sheets and place them in the freezer.
  3. When fully frozen (12 to 24 hours) portion them into suitable containers and freeze. Leave no headspace.
  4. Will keep for 10 to 12 months.
  5. Add frozen celery directly to dishes while cooking.
