Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 c. cooked pumpkin
  • 13 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. each: salt, nutmeg and cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 (9-inch) pie shells

Instructions

  1. Put pumpkin, eggs and milk in blender or food processor and puree.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together sugar, salt and spices. Pour into pumpkin and butter and stir to mix.
  3. Divide between pie shells.
  4. Bake at 425° for 45 minutes or until set.
  5. Serve with real whipped cream.
