Fried Apple Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. Carnation cream

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and Crisco, then sugar.
  2. Beat eggs; add to cream and mix well.
  3. Mix egg mixture with flour mixture.
  4. Chill overnight or at least 3 hours.
  5. Prepare filling.
  6. Pinch off enough dough to roll out (a little larger than saucer), put filling on 1/2 of crust. Wet edge and fold over other half and press edge together with fork.
  7. Slit top to release air, fry in hot Crisco or oil.
  8. Drain on paper towel.
