Fritters (Pakorey)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Gram Flour / Grabanzo Bean Flour
  • 3 medium Potato
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 each Green Chilli
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 2 tsp Black Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp White Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriandar Seeds

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, put in gram flour.
  2. Add enough water to make a thick paste.
  3. Remember, the mixture should NOT be runny.
  4. It must have a thick consistency
  5. In the mixture, add all spices.
  6. Set away for half hour
  7. Meanwhile, dice potatoes.
  8. Dices should be small.
  9. also chop onions and green chilies
  10. After half hour, add the vegetables mentioned in above steps into the mixture
  11. Bring oil to heat in a wok.
  12. In hot oil, using a spoon, toss the mixture.
  13. Keep them medium sized
  14. Fry the fritters till they are golden brown
  15. Dish them out on a plate lined with tissue paper to absorb excess oil
  16. Serve hot with a ketchup dip
