Frozen Hot Chocolate

Creamy frozen hot chocolate combines rich cocoa and smooth milk for a decadent treat perfect for hot days or special indulgences. Great for chocolate lovers of all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened Dutch process cocoa
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 3/4 cups low fat 1% milk

Instructions

  1. Combine cocoa and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Stir enough milk in to form a smooth paste.
  3. Stir in all but 2 tablespoons of the remaining milk.
  4. Stir over low heat until mixture is warm and sugar is dissolved.
  5. Pour into a shallow pan or ice cube trays.
  6. Cover well and freeze for at least 6 hours.
  7. Place frozen chunks into a food processor bowl fitted with a steel blade.
  8. Process with the remaining 2 tablespoons of milk until no lumps remain and mixture is thick and light in color.
  9. Serve immediately in frosted goblets as a spoon drink or scrape into a bowl with a cover and refrigerate overnight.
  10. Scoop out and serve frozen.
