Frozen Pickled Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cabbage
  • carrots and/or peppers
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Instructions

  1. Chop
  2. cabbage
  3. and
  4. other vegetables very fine.
  5. Can be put in blender to chop.
  6. Add salt to mixture with enough water to cover. Let stand
  7. for
  8. 1
  9. hour.
  10. Drain
  11. well.
  12. Combine and boil for 1 minute the sugar, vinegar, 1/4 cup water and celery seed.
  13. Cool to room temperature.
  14. Mix this and cabbage mixture together.
  15. Put in containers and freeze.
