Garlic Edamame

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces, weight Frozen Edamame (usually One Bag)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 pinches Coarse Sea Salt
  • 1/4 cups Low Sodium Soy Sauce, For Dipping

Instructions

  1. Boil the edamame as directed on the package. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil. Crush the garlic, but leave them in one piece. Toss them into the skillet with the edamame (I did it in 2 batches) and saute until the outsides of the edamame are just browning.
  3. Season with salt and serve in a large bowl with another bowl on the side for the discarded edamame shells. Serve with low sodium soy sauce (regular works, but it's pretty strong so you might want to water it down a bit) and add a little wasabi paste for a kick!
