Ingredients
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, and shortening.
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, add egg.
- Gradually add flour and beat well.
- Let rise until double in bulk.
- Knead on floured surface.
- Roll dough 1/3 inch thick.
- Cut with cutter.
- Fold in half.
- Let rise again at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Bake at 425° until brown, about 15 - 20 minutes.
- Brush tops with margarine.
- Makes about 36 rolls.
