Ghoulash
Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger (I use 96/4) ⓘ
- half box elbow macaroni, cooked and drained ⓘ
- 1 large onion, chopped ⓘ
- sliced mushrooms (canned or fresh, I prefer canned) ⓘ
- 1 (28 ounce) can of petite diced tomatoes ⓘ
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1 pinch garlic ⓘ
- 1 pinch salt and pepper ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown meat, onions, salt, pepper, garlic and mushrooms, drain if needed, set aside.
- Boil macaroni, drain set aside.
- In a large oven safe bowl (pyrex) combine ALL above ingredients, mix thoroughly. Cover with aluminum foil, back 30-40 minutes Take the dish out of oven, remove cover, stir once, put the dish back in the oven uncovered for 5-10 minuted to create a goldnish crust on top. Let stand for at least 15 minutes.
