Ingredients

  • 4 lemons
  • 1 (3-inch) piece fresh ginger
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons, then strain the juice into a pitcher.
  2. Put the ginger slices and 2 cups of water into a blender; process about 1 minute until the ginger is finely grated.
  3. Strain the ginger mixture into the pitcher, using a spoon to press out as much liquid as possible.
  4. Add the remaining water and sugar to the pitcher and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
