Ingredients

  • 24 oz. raw peanuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine raw peanuts, sugar, and water in a medium-sized pan.
  2. Stir constantly over medium heat until the liquid has evaporated and the mixture is coated on the peanuts.
  3. Pour the coated peanuts onto cookie sheets and spread them evenly.
  4. Bake in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, stir the peanuts, and salt to taste.
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, stir, and return to the oven for 10 more minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
