Ingredients

  • 3 c. self-rising flour plus 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 2 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Stir in lowfat milk.
  4. Knead a few times.
  5. Roll out.
  6. Cut into biscuits.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees till golden brown.
