Grandma'S Sugared Pecans

- Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Beat egg whites until very stiff.
- Add sugar.
- Mix well.
- Add pecans to egg white mixture. Put pecans and egg white mixture into the pan of melted butter. Bake in a 300° oven, stirring every 5 to 8 minutes.
- Bake until browned well.
- Turn out and spread on aluminum foil to cool.
- When completely cold, put in container or plastic bag.
