Ingredients

  • 5 c. self-rising flour (White Lily)
  • 1 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. warm water

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and oil to dry ingredients with the yeast.
  3. Mix well. Let set overnight in refrigerator.
  4. Take out as much as needed
  5. to make
  6. biscuits.
  7. Knead, roll, cut and bake.
  8. (Will keep up to two weeks in refrigerator.)
