Ingredients

  • 8 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 8 tsp. sugar (optional)
  • 1 c. shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  2. Using pastry blender, cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Store in a well-sealed container, in the pantry or refrigerator.
