Ingredients

  • 1 quart grape juice
  • 5 to 6 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 apple, unpeeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 4 lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Heat the grape juice in a saucepan.
  2. Add the sugar and simmer until dissolved.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and ground cloves.
  4. Simmer for 2 minutes longer.
  5. Add the diced apple.
  6. Pour into glasses.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices.
