Ingredients

  • 1 c. dry split green peas
  • 3 pt. water
  • 1 can beef bouillon
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place peas in a large saucepan without a lid and add the cold water.
  2. Bring to boiling point.
  3. Allow to simmer until the water cooks down and the peas are cooked to a soft, wet paste.
  4. (Be careful not to let them burn.)
  5. Add the 2 cans of soup; stir and allow to simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Season to taste, if necessary, after all ingredients are added.
  7. If the soup is thicker than you prefer, add a little water.
