Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup white, fine cornmeal
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 qt boiling sweet milk

Instructions

  1. Bring milk to boil in sauce pan; add butter, sugar and cornmeal (about 1/2 cup at a time) stirring with large whisk.
  2. Remove when mixture thickens and allow to cool five minutes.
  3. Squeeze through a pastry bag to form tick, silver dollar formed cookies on ungreased sheet.
  4. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes until brown.
