Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a large pot.
- Bring to a boil and simmer until cabbage is tender, about 15 minutes.
- Add 2 or 3 potatoes, sliced.
- Simmer about 15 minutes more until potatoes are tender. Blend 3 tablespoons flour in 3 cups milk and stir into soup until slightly thickened.
- Add 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese and stir to melt.
