Ingredients

  • 1 gallon water
  • 1 cup pickling salt
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar per jar

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 gallon of water to a boil.
  2. Add 1 cup of pickling salt, 1 cup of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of sugar per jar.
  3. Pour the boiling mixture over tightly-packed cabbage in jars.
  4. Seal the jars tightly.
