Lemon Buttered Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. arrowroot
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. cold water
  • yellow food coloring
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in saucepan and stir in arrowroot.
  2. Add lemon juice and water; cook the mixture over moderate heat until it simmers. Stir in the food coloring a drop at a time until sauce is buttery yellow; serve sauce over hot broccoli.
  3. Makes 6 servings.
